Bolle technical lens info
Bolle 100 Gun The Bollé 100 Gun lens is an extremely dark brown high contrast category 4 lens which is perfect for mountaineering at high altitude. This lens blocks 100% of infrared light (responsible for heat and thermal lesions) and 100% of blue light (which can cause a loss of visual acuity and eyestrain). The Bollé 100 Gun lens provides the highest degree of eye protection and performance with exceptional visual comfort in extremely bright light conditions and is the ultimate mountaineering lens on the market today.
Carbo glas® coating This proprietary, industrial-strength coating is applied to both sides of the lens to protect against scratches.
Modulator™ lens Whether you notice it or not, light conditions are constantly changing. Bollé's Modulator lens addresses this by utilizing Active Cell Technology,™ which works on a molecular level to give you the optimal eye protection, performance and comfort for any light condition. Bollé's photochromic technology is embedded within the lens, under a highly protective hardcoat.
Polarization Bollé polarizing lenses are produced through an exclusive injection process to ensure the highest optical quality. The polarizing film is injected into the glass during the glass manufacturing process - it is not bonded within a sandwich. This prevents any distortion and delamination problems which are common in most polarized lenses.
Marine Collection Bollé’s collection of sunglasses featuring new marine lenses combines anti-glare polarized technology and a hydrophobic treatment that repels water off the lens surface. Available in 2 colours, these lenses are perfect for watersports and high glare activities.
B 20.3 Polycarbonate lenses Sunglasses should protect you from more than just the sun. That’s why Bollé's polycarbonate lenses are made from lightweight, premium-grade resin that’s 20 times more impact-resistant than glass – and three times lighter.
Anti-reflective coating Glare not only comes from the front of lenses, it can also be a problem on the inside of your sunglasses. To counter that, we put a scientifically engineered coating on the back side of most of our lenses to reduce eyestrain.
UVA/UVB protection Bollé exceeds the industry standard with 100% UVA/UVB protection.
